I am an agent of transformation and positive change. As a spiritual guide I work with the intelligence of nature and the whole person - with emphasis on the inner world and the psychological and spiritual dimensions of life. I guide and empower souls on their journey of healing, evolution and wholeness drawing on the ancient art of Astrology, Esoteric Hypnosis, Shamanic Healing and Sacred Plant Medicine.
New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy is my speciality and I have been working with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand since 2012. I was introduced to First Light essences while I was studying Naturopathy in 2009, I fell in love with flower essence therapy and I was called to specialise in this profound healing modality and work with the native plants of this land. In 2022 I added New Zealand Homeobotanicals to my plant medicine dispensary. As well as creating personalised plant medicine remedies I create custom botanical incense from exotic resins, barks, herbs and flowers I source from around the world.
For many years I have been searching for the secrets of healing, empowerment and evolution. Esoteric Hypnosis represents the culmination of many years of inner work and training in healing and esoteric studies for me. I have been practicing Esoteric Hypnosis since 2021 and in that time I have witnessed clients achieve levels of awareness, transformation and empowerment in one session that I have previously achieved during one-month intensive meditation retreats. I am excited and honoured to offer this profound sacred work to those who are yearning for deep healing, greater awareness and are committed to their own evolution.
My spiritual practice is grounded in my long-term study of Buddhism, which includes over a decade of meditation practice and participation in intensive silent retreats in New Zealand, India and Nepal. I have studied and practiced Anapanasati (Mindfulness of Breath), Tibetan Vajrayana Tantra, Tibetan Pranayama and Zen. I offer my services as an apprentice Buddhist Chaplain, helping individuals navigate the end-of-life process with peace and dignity. I co-facilitate a Death Cafe in New Plymouth once a month and have a passion for reviving and reclaiming the ancient practices, rituals and ceremonies around death.
My formal education and background is in the creative arts. I spent my twenties studying art and design and working in arts sector before shifting my focus to holistic healing when I become a mother at the age of 30. In 2019 I rekindled my passion for creating art and co-founded LUMEN Studios and Gallery where I have a studio. I create complex colourful handcrafted paper collages drawing inspiration from nature and the rich interior landscape of the soul. My artworks are alchemical tools for transforming consciousness and promoting wholeness.
Thank you for visiting! I invite you to explore my Creative Work, learn about the Plant Medicine and Sacred Work I offer, and join me on this journey of wholeness.
I was born in Taranaki and raised in the country, halfway between the Mountain and the sea near Rahotu. I left Taranaki in 1996 to study Fine Arts at the Quay School of the Arts in Whanganui.
In 2000 I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in photography. In 2007 I graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Art and Design from Auckland University of Technology. After graduating Art School I volunteered and worked in the arts and culture community coordinating and promoting exhibitions, festivals and projects including the inaugural Whanganui Festival of Glass and the Whanganui Summer School of the Arts.
After working in the arts and culture sector for 10 years, I became a mother and moved back to Taranaki. At this time I shifted my focus to natural health and holistic wellbeing. While my son was a baby I started studying at the Naturopathic Collage of New Zealand with the intention of becoming a herbalist, but instead discovered New Zealand Native Flower Essence Therapy and decided to study with First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand and become a Flower Essence practitioner.
I have been a student with the Medicine Woman Centre for Esoteric and Shamanic Studies since 2011 attending annual Medicine Woman retreats and engaging in their programmes. Under the founder Franchelle Ofoskyé-Wyber I have studied plant medicine, shamanic healing, astrology, alchemy and ritual. The Medicine Woman retreats and programmes including the sweat lodge ceremonies in earlier years have had a profound influence on my life, my creative work and the sacred work that I now offer.
I have been studying Buddhism since 2005 when I travelled to India and Nepal to volunteer in a Buddhist nunnery and study Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy and meditation. Since returning from overseas I have regularly attended intensive silent meditation retreats at Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre in the South Island of New Zealand. In 2018 I trained with the New Zealand Buddhist Council and Amitabha Hospice to became an Apprentice Buddhist Chaplain to support people during end of life and pass peacefully.
I have been using collage as a tool for exploring consciousness and deepening self-awareness for over 20 years. My handcrafted collages are often autobiographical in nature, but I also create work expressing transpersonal themes. My artworks are alchemical tools for transmuting consciousness, promoting wholeness and a wholesome relationship with oneself and the world. My creative work is influenced by the beauty of nature and the alchemy of the soul.
In 2021 I started training with the Esoteric Hypnosis Training Academy. Esoteric Hypnosis is the culmination of years of study and training in the realms of healing and metaphysics for me. I have witnessed clients achieve levels of awareness, transformation and empowerment in one hypnosis session that I have previously achieved during one-month intensive meditation retreats. I am excited and honoured to offer this profound sacred work to those who are yearning for deep healing and are committed to their own evolution.
